Preparations for this years SUMMER BALL are well advanced. For those of you that have been before, don't hang about, go to the Events section of the website menu (when Christian gets off his ass and puts it in) and download a form and send it off with your monies asap. For those of you new to the club, the Ball is open to anyone locally (but preference is given to Club members) and is rated as one of the best in the South East - if not further afield. A sumptuous marquee is erected on Glenn's hallowed turf (aka The First Team Pitch) where reception drinks, a three course dinner and live bands and Disco await to entertain you until the early hours. Fair Ground rides await your skills on the car park and the clubs new facilities will cater for the rest! Please book your table as soon as possible. If you already know the names of your guests - fill in the form and return to me, with cheques or cheque, made payable to Folkestone Rugby Club - or FRFC for short. If you simply want to reserve a table, but don't have guest names, send me an email, drop me a line or give me a call and reserve the spaces before they all go - but please include a contact email address! Payment can follow later but please do not book a table and then drop numbers nearer to the time. Full payment needs to be in by the 31st May to ensure your places are booked. The caterers will require final numbers earlier than usual so the above deadlines need to be adhered to. Once again the Ball is only 10 weeks away so get your skates on - dresses/suits to the cleaners/off to the sales! - and book your spaces. For the 'older' Club members who tend to leave things till the last minute don't forget there are now over 500 members of FRFC and only a percentage of members attend the ball - the majority being guests that come along with members - so with potentially restricted numbers space will be at a premium.
